A balanced diet provides an adequate
intake of energy and nutrients for maintenance of the body and therefore
good health. A diet can easily be adequate for normal bodily
functioning, yet may not be a balanced diet. An ideal human diet
contains fat, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, water and
fibre all in correct proportions. These proportions vary for each
individual because everyone has different metabolic rates and levels of
activity.
After an initial Consultation, You will be asked to fill in a 3 day food/mood diary (This will give me the information I need about your current eating habits in relation to your energy level after your meal). Following the completion of your food diary I will make suggestions on how you can improve your eating habits to gain a healthy balanced diet and eating habits. |
